Pakistan Relief Flights
Through Act ROTAsia, Reach Out To Asia's (ROTA's) emergency response program, the charity provided immediate response to the devastating October 2005 earthquake in Pakistan by sending two planes full of relief supplies to severely affected areas.
Her Excellency Sheikha Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani demonstrated her personal commitment to ROTA and highlighted the priority being given to providing relief for victims by personally delivering much needed blankets, sleeping bags, tents and other emergency supplies to people in the worst-hit areas before winter truly set in and left survivors even more vulnerable.
